A little bit about me

A little boy who suffered the terrible war times and injustices in Northern Uganda, walking miles to the towns for safety. A boy who lost some childhood friends and really had no hope in this life. This little boy defied the odds and grew up to become an Engineer and a Lawyer. This little boy is now Kidega Ogenrwot Moses running for Northern Youth MP. If I made it out of the worst of places and situations, together we can.

My Profile Overview

I am Kidega Ogenrwot Moses, a proud son of Northern Uganda, a committed youth advocate, and a firm believer in the power of grassroots leadership. With deep roots in a humble peasant upbringing and shaped by the lived realities of conflict, resilience, and community spirit, I am honored to officially declare my bid to serve as Youth Member of Parliament for Northern Uganda (2026–2031). My journey, from the dusty paths of Acoli to national student leadership has been guided by the conviction that leadership must serve the common person. This campaign is not about me, it is about us, the youth, the hustlers, the commoners, the dreamers, and the doers. I invite you to read my full declaration and join this movement for possibility, dignity, and shared progress.

My mission and vision

A vibrant, united, transformed and empowered youth population in Northern Uganda, actively driving social justice, economic growth, and inclusive national development, shaping the future with dignity and purpose. Leaving no one behind and rising as a united front through our struggles and challenges as commoners and hustlers.

To champion the mobilization, voice, rights, empowerment and potential of every young person in Northern Uganda by advocating for access to employment, quality education, job creation, innovation, reproductive health, institutional support and inclusive leadership, guided by the belief that even a common person can create uncommon change.

Jobs for Youth, Not Just Promises

  • Push for youth start-up funding and tax breaks for youth-led businesses.

  • Expand Presidential Skilling Centers in Arua, Lira, Kotido, and Omoro—with tools and start-up kits after training.

  • Demand 50% youth allocation in the Parish Development Model (PDM)—not just 30%.

Sexual reproductive health rights

  • Push for free monthly distribution of reusable sanitary pads in all public schools.

  • Partner with churches and cultural leaders to fight early marriages through awareness and guidance programs.

Innovation and Digital Skills

  • Bring free ICT and digital skilling camps to rural youth through partnerships.

  • Work with telecoms to remove or reduce the 18% mobile data tax that limits access to online opportunities.

  • Introduce the Youth Start-Up Bill to give young entrepreneurs breathing space.

Youth Representation That Works

  • Set up regional Youth MP offices in Arua, Gulu, Moroto, and Lira for better service access.

  • Ensure independent funding for Youth Council and UNSA, so youth programs aren’t ignored.

  • Conduct performance reviews of government youth programs—accountability is key.

Education That Changes Lives

  • Advocate for more government scholarships and proper implementation of the District Quota system for Northern students.

  • Push for a public university in Moroto and rehabilitation of traditional schools like Layibi College, Mvara, Lango College.

  • Fight for increased funding to UPE/USE schools and better conditions for rural learners.

Youth in Agriculture and Industry

  • Help youth turn agriculture into business: funding, training, equipment.

  • Lobby for district youth Saccos and UDB soft loans for youth-led agribusinesses.

  • Encourage youth cooperatives and value addition—so we sell products, not just raw materials.

A Vote for the Hustler Is a Vote for Us All

This campaign is for those who refuse to give up, those who continue to hope and strive, taking action to make a positive impact in Northern Uganda. A vote for the hustlers and commoners is a vote for those who understand the unique challenges we have faced for so long. I am one of you: a hustler from the village, raised by peasants, a product of war, free education, and community sacrifice. “This is our moment, stand with me, a fellow hustler & commoner, and let’s turn our shared struggles into strength, your vote isn’t just for me, it’s for every young person who refuses to give up on Northern Uganda.” I promise to give you my all to ensure  maximum impact on all of our pain points.
